Results and sources
Check citations, open deliverables, inspect changes and give feedback on a reply.
Follow the sources
Answers can include numbered citations, direct links and a compact source footer. Open a citation to inspect the Slack discussion, document, record or wiki page behind a claim. Slack message links can appear as inline previews.
A source link is evidence to check, not a guarantee that the conclusion is right. Check the date range, the quoted passage and whether the source actually supports the claim. Ask OpenTag to distinguish a source fact from its interpretation when that is unclear.
Access still applies when you open a link. A source may be unavailable if it was deleted, its sharing changed or your account cannot open it.
Files and media
OpenTag can return documents, spreadsheets, presentations, CSVs, images and video. Ask for the format you need. Files from Google Drive, including exported Docs and Sheets, can arrive as attachments.
For long output, ask for a file instead of a large Slack message. Files, images and video covers attachments and generation.
Slack copies follow your Slack workspace's retention. If you need a durable deliverable in another tool, ask OpenTag to put it there using an available connection.
Changes in your tools
Ask for links to the records OpenTag changed. Open those links and check the result in the source app, especially before using it in a customer conversation or report.
A read-only integration can provide analysis and drafts but cannot make the corresponding change. Available connections lists common examples.
Check the work
Open the conversation in Chats to inspect the recorded steps, tool results and decisions available to you. Routine sharing does not automatically reveal the owner's private execution details.
For a surprising answer, ask:
- Which period and records did you use?
- Which sources support this conclusion?
- What could you not access or finish?
Correct or rate a reply
Reply in the same thread with the correction: “Use this quarter”, “Exclude trials”, or “Show the source for that number.” Slack replies also include feedback controls. A thumbs-down can include an explanation of what went wrong.
Feedback helps report a problem; a direct follow-up tells OpenTag how to repair the current job. See When OpenTag gets it wrong.
