What's new in OpenTag

Fixed Slack replies asking you to sign in just because they included a browser link, even when OpenTag was already signed in or had finished the work. Replies now keep OpenTag's explanation and the Open the browser button without adding an unwarranted sign-in request or promise to continue. Genuine sign-in requests still include the instructions you need.

Fixed Google Drive uploads failing for files shared in a conversation, including screenshots and videos. OpenTag can now upload those files, along with attachments retrieved from connected apps, to your chosen Drive folder up to a limit of 50 MiB per file. Uploads made by routines require approval.

The integrations directory now marks connected apps with a check and highlights connections that need attention with an amber menu. Labels show whether access is for Everyone or Only you, how many accounts are connected, and when an app is read only or paused. Connections that need repair offer the relevant reconnect or connection-check action from their menu.

Fixed deleting a routine leaving queued or active runs behind. Deletion now cancels queued runs and requests cancellation of work already underway. Stop and Delete also take effect while a run is starting, preventing cancelled work from starting anyway or reporting an unnecessary startup error.

Fixed some chats and routines stopping because OpenTag incorrectly rejected a tool result during the task. Affected tasks can now continue using those results instead of ending with a request error.

Fixed some temporary OpenTag errors causing it to give up on an action before the request reached a connected app. When OpenTag can confirm the action was never sent, it can now retry instead of treating the result as uncertain.

Teammates who receive a routine's DMs now automatically get Owner access to that routine, so they can edit, pause, share, or delete it. This also applies to teammates added as recipients later. The routine continues to use its recorded owner's connected apps, and private history stays with that owner.

Fixed cases where a routine stayed quiet after an unresolved problem with a connected app prevented it from completing its checks. Routines set to report new findings now include those problems, so a missing briefing is less likely to hide an access or connection issue. Successful checks with nothing new to report can still stay quiet.

The skill editor now points out a missing name-and-description header as you type and offers a template to add it without losing your instructions. If your skills fail to load, the page shows an error with a Retry button instead of saying you have no skills.

Setup no longer asks you to compare plans before your free trial. The trial step shows the plan you'll continue on, with its monthly credits and its price after the trial, and you can change plans any time from Billing. On phones, the Back and Continue buttons on the tools and trial steps now stay at the bottom of the screen, so you no longer scroll past every integration to move on.

The web app refresh now extends to Chats, Routines, Skills, Team, Usage, and Settings. Chat history scrolls independently in the sidebar, routine controls stay within reach on smaller screens, and webhooks can be added and edited directly on their settings page. The Usage chart now shows requests and tasks in stacked daily bars, with a hover breakdown of the credits used by each.

Fixed browser tasks getting stuck at startup when several tasks needed the same signed-in browser profile. OpenTag now coordinates those requests and stops abandoned startup attempts from continuing after their task has ended.

Fixed Calendar time ranges being misinterpreted around daylight saving changes during meeting prep. OpenTag now gets the local time at each end of the requested range, along with current information about which Google accounts were checked, helping it avoid repeating an old access problem as if it were still happening.

Fixed some PDF reading errors ending a request before OpenTag could respond. When a model rejects a file, OpenTag can now continue with an explanation of the problem and access to its file tools, so it can try another way to read the document or explain what prevented it.

Meeting prep and other routines that deliver privately can now find earlier briefings in their authorized OpenTag DM more reliably. OpenTag can also work through long research results more easily and follow their references back to the original sources.

The setup channel picker now gives search and sorting their own space on smaller screens and keeps the confirmation button within reach. A search with no results now says that no channels match, instead of incorrectly saying OpenTag is already in every public channel.

Improved how OpenTag distinguishes the person asking a Slack question from the company or person being discussed. This addresses cases where a customer lookup used the requester's email, and helps follow-up questions use records tied to the intended subject.

Fixed a recovery error that could stop a task after OpenTag had already used connected apps. When the task continues through a different model connection, it keeps the conversation and completed tool results available so it can pick up from the work already done.

The web app has refreshed navigation, controls, and wiki layouts, with more consistent spacing and clearer headings. Wiki articles and version history are easier to scan, dialogs fit smaller screens, and fixes to dark mode make teammate initials, chat messages, and other controls easier to read. Routines also stays highlighted while you view an individual routine.
