Deleting your data

Separate forgetting a fact, revoking source access and requesting deletion of retained data.

Forget a learned fact

Ask OpenTag to forget a specific personal fact or preference. Identify the item clearly, then check the result in Memory or a follow-up conversation.

Forgetting a learned fact does not erase the original Slack message, conversation history, source document or information you previously shared with the team. Correcting a company claim is also a separate operation; see How pages get written.

Stop new access

Remove OpenTag from a channel with /remove @OpenTag. Review automatic joining in Slack settings if you also want it to stay out of future public channels.

Disconnect an account from Integrations, or revoke its access in the source app. This stops future use of that connection. It does not erase every conversation or result that used the source.

Request deletion

Email privacy@tryopentag.com with the workspace and the scope of your request: a person's data, a source, or the whole workspace. Ask about an export first if you need a copy.

The privacy policy and DPA describe applicable deletion terms. Support can confirm what the request covers and its status.

Permanent deletion is irreversible

Export information you need before requesting permanent deletion. Cancelling a subscription or uninstalling the Slack app is not the same as deleting workspace data.

Copies outside OpenTag

Messages and files posted to Slack remain subject to your Slack retention and deletion controls. Documents saved to Drive or another app belong to that app. Emails already sent and changes made in connected tools are not undone by deleting OpenTag data.

Handle those copies in the relevant source app as part of your request. For privacy access or correction requests, use the same privacy email address.
