Add OpenTag to Slack
Install in Slack, complete workspace setup, review access and start a real job.
Set up a workspace
Sign in with Slack
Open app.tryopentag.com and choose the intended Slack workspace. If Slack requires app approval, an administrator needs to approve installation.
Complete workspace setup
Follow the setup screens, choose initial channels, and review the selected plan and checkout terms. Plans explains the free credit grant and subscription trials.
Meet OpenTag in Slack
Once setup completes, OpenTag arrives in Slack. Use its welcome conversation
or a selected working channel for your first request. Invite it to another
channel with /invite @OpenTag.
Connect an app
Open Integrations, choose the account you need, and review its sharing and read/write permissions.
Give it a job
Mention OpenTag with a clear task and check the result. Your first job gives a worked example.
Joining an existing workspace
If OpenTag is already installed and setup is complete, teammates can start using it without their own workspace onboarding. Sign in when you need the web app or personal account access.
Review channel settings
New internal public channels are joined automatically by default after setup. Admins can disable this or exclude channel-name patterns in Slack settings. Private and Slack Connect channels require invitations.
You can also make a channel read-only for OpenTag's replies. See Channels and access before broadening access.
If it does not respond
Check that workspace setup is complete, OpenTag is in the channel, and replies are enabled there. Mention it explicitly for a new task. A missing introduction after an automatic join does not by itself indicate a problem.
