Integrations

BigQuery

Connect BigQuery with your Google account to explore projects, datasets, table schemas, and existing rows from OpenTag. Choose read-only access for inspection or read and write access to run SQL and manage resources. Your Gmail, Calendar, and Drive connections stay separate.

Integrations

Neon

Connect Neon to inspect your Postgres projects, branches, table schemas, and rows from OpenTag. Sign in with Neon and choose read-only or read and write access; running SQL and changing databases require read and write access. The connection starts private.

Improvements

Check reports against their sources

OpenTag now checks reports and CSV files more thoroughly against the sources it used, including individual table rows, before marking a request complete. Requests for several files also handle corrections more reliably, so revising one file doesn't make the others look out of date.

Fixes

Recover routine reports that couldn't be sent

When Slack refuses a routine report because its channel is unavailable, you can ask OpenTag to recover the prepared report. It includes a clear notice that it wasn't sent, so you can still use the result and decide what to do next.

Improvements

Edit your channel's shared routines

When you create a routine in a Slack channel using shared app connections, channel teammates can edit it by default. If it uses your private app connection, they get Read access instead. The routine's owner can adjust access.

Fixes

Keep longer requests moving

Fixed longer investigations stopping after ten minutes even while they were still making progress. OpenTag also handles waits for connected apps more reliably, and canceling a request stops it from starting further actions after the current call finishes.

Fixes

Return to setup after connecting an app

Connecting an app such as PostHog during setup now brings you back to the same step with your workspace and plan selected. You'll see whether the connection succeeded or was canceled, and the Continue button shows when a connection is still in progress.

Fixes

Clearer errors when a routine can't start

If you choose Run now and the routine's owner lacks the access needed to run it, OpenTag now explains the problem. It no longer tells you the work is waiting to start when it has already failed.

Fixes

Fixed routine reports in shared Slack channels

Fixed a problem that could prevent routine reports and alerts from reaching a Slack channel shared with a client or partner. Routines can now start a new message in their chosen channel when there's no existing thread to reply to.

Improvements

Add screenshots to Slack feedback

Attach up to five screenshots or images when you rate an OpenTag message in Slack. Add a note or send the images on their own, whether you're giving a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.

Fixes

Fewer interruptions when browsing websites

Fixed a problem that could stop OpenTag from opening a website after its browser connection expired. OpenTag can reconnect more reliably while keeping saved sign-ins.

Fixes

Know why a PDF can't be read

If a PDF needs a password, OpenTag now asks you for an unlocked copy. When a file cannot be read, it explains the problem instead of showing unreadable PDF text or incorrectly saying a search found nothing.

Fixes

Fewer incorrect failure notices for routines

Fixed cases where a routine posted its report but still said it couldn't finish. A correction posted in the report's Slack thread is now recognized, so the corrected report doesn't leave the routine stuck and hold up later runs.

Improvements

See why a routine is waiting

Routines now show whether work is running or waiting, how long it has waited, and what's holding it up. Waits longer than ten minutes are highlighted. Use Stop now to cancel waiting runs and stop work in progress.

Improvements

Clearer sign-in and sign-up pages

Sign in or create an account from separate, clearly labeled pages. Switching between them keeps your invitation and chosen plan, and refreshing the page keeps you on the option you selected.

Fixes

See which model wrote a Slack message

Fixed Slack messages that showed only Auto even when you had turned on model names. They now identify the model used to write the message.

Fixes

Filter top tasks by teammate

Choose a teammate on the Usage page to see their top tasks alongside their usage graph. Opening the full task list keeps the same teammate selected.
